In-Class Today: 3/9 & 3/10

English 10-4 B/D Days, Block 2
English 10-3 A/C Days, Block 4


The following activities took place in class today:

1) Paragraph Proofreading Practice: "Kitty's Diary" Day 4.

2) Chapter In class comprehension quiz for Chapter 3 of Night by Elie Weisel administered, and student reading journal entries checked.

3) A brief excerpt from The Pianist (2002) or Anne Frank: The Whole Story (2001) were viewed for their depiction of the gradual loss of rights of the Jewish people following the invasion of Poland in WWII (Pianist) and a clear visual reinforcement of the dehumanizing treatment of the Jewish people during the Holocaust.
Homework due next class:
1) Read Night Chapter 4 and complete a full Reading Journal Entry, in your composition book, if possible. All four entries will be collected next class for a grade.
2) There will a short answer test on Chapters 1-4 in class.
Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to see the teacher PRIOR to Advisement and arrange for a pass when you need assistance with any home/classwork.
